My name is Steve Maxwell, and I am running for Sheriff because I believe law enforcement must serve all people, fairly, professionally, and without political agenda. My focus is on constitutional policing, strong leadership, and restoring public trust in the Sheriff’s Office.

I am running to be a Sheriff who serves everyone — not a party, not a class, and not a political agenda.

Law enforcement must be fair, impartial, and grounded in the Constitution. That is the standard I will uphold as Sheriff.

I believe strong law enforcement begins with proper training. I will prioritize continuous, professional training to ensure deputies are prepared to respond effectively, responsibly, and within the law.

★ The Community’s Right to Be Safe

Every citizen has the right to feel safe, as laid out by the U.S. Constitution. I am committed to protecting our community while respecting the rights and freedoms that define our nation.

★ Transparency of Action

Transparency builds trust. I will ensure the Sheriff’s Office operates openly, with clear policies and actions that the public can understand and have confidence in.

★ Accountability of Office

Accountability is essential to public service. As Sheriff, I will hold the office to the highest standards of responsibility, ethics, and professionalism — starting with myself.
